High School Administrative Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled administrative assistant to support our school counseling team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Newtown Public Schools community and contribute to the well-being of our students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our school counselors, including managing calendars, coordinating events, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to school counselors, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and maintaining confidential records.
- Coordinate school events, such as parent-teacher conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year
