About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Resident Care Specialist. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary: The Resident Care Specialist will be responsible for providing hands-on care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness. This includes taking and recording vital signs, measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output, recognizing abnormal changes in body functioning, and reporting such changes to a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking and recording vital signs
  • Measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output
  • Recognizing abnormal changes in body functioning and reporting to a supervisor
  • Assisting with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living
  • Transferring, positioning, and turning residents
  • Providing skin care to residents
  • Contributing to resident assessments and plans of care
  • Providing nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services
  • FOLLOWING THE SCHEDULE OF RESIDENT NEEDS SET OUT BY SUPERVISOR
  • Providing emotional and social support to residents
  • Promoting and protecting resident rights
  • Informing supervisors of resident issues or concerns
  • Respecting and encouraging independence and dignity of residents
  • Respecting residents' confidentiality

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. You should also have acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to emergency situations.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on location and experience.
