Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pathology Assistant to join our team at Tenet Healthcare Corporation. As a Pathology Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a qualified Pathologist to prepare and select tissue samples for analysis, including small biopsies and large specimens. You will also teach techniques of specimen dissection and tissue sectioning to residents rotating through the Department. Additionally, you will prepare digital photographs of gross pathology specimens for teaching and publications.

Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and selecting tissue samples for analysis
Teach techniques of specimen dissection and tissue sectioning to residents
Prepare digital photographs of gross pathology specimens for teaching and publications
Participate in quality assurance assessment and other duties required by medical director

Requirements:
Bachelor's / Master's degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant program
Certification as a pathology assistant preferred
Ability to read, write and speak English

Reporting Relationships and Level of Autonomy:
Performs duties under the direction and supervision of a qualified Pathologist. Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
