Under the supervision of pathologists, assist with accessioning cases and preparing small biopsies for analysis. Record Findings. Prepare frozen section slides for Pathologist. Maintain the supplies in frozen section room and grossing room. Disposal of the specimens. Participate in quality assurance assessment and other duties required by the medical director. Communicate effectively with surgeons, primary care physicians, visitors, and co-workers.
Responsibilities:
Assist with accessioning cases and preparing small biopsies for analysis. Record findings and prepare frozen section slides for pathologists. Maintain supplies in frozen section and grossing rooms. Dispose of specimens and participate in quality assurance assessments. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and visitors.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field. No prior experience required. Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment health screening, including a drug screen.
