Responsibilities:
  • Assist with nursing services for unaccompanied children, including assessment, intake, and daily medical needs.
  • Ensure adherence to Upbring policies, ORR standards, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide group education on safety and disease prevention topics to children.
  • Administer medication and treatment as prescribed or as needed.
  • Coordinate medical appointments and follow through on medications and treatment.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner and support infection-control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in safety meetings, trainings, and goals.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all unaccompanied children and the safe operating conditions within the area of responsibility.
  • Track all unaccompanied child portal medical data and medical files.
Requirements:
  • Active and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state.
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical pediatric care setting.
  • Ability to maintain a professional approach and build a rapport and trust with unaccompanied children.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and have attention to detail.
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking).
