*This position requires in-office presence for the entire workweek.

The Windows 11 Support Technician will play a crucial role in assisting company personnel with the transition of their laptops to Windows 11. This includes managing and updating ServiceNow tickets, overseeing the reimaging process, and coordinating loaner laptop requests. The technician will ensure that all requests are tracked meticulously from initiation to completion.

Key responsibilities also encompass safeguarding user data by backing it up from local hard drives to OneDrive, ensuring no data is lost during the transition. This includes preserving browser bookmarks and other essential local files, followed by restoring these items to the newly reimaged devices and making necessary adjustments to meet user requirements.

The role involves troubleshooting basic technical issues that may arise during the reimaging process and escalating more complex problems to senior staff for prompt resolution.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Reimaging laptops to the Windows 11 operating system
  • Collaborating with various IT teams and business stakeholders
  • Tracking service requests, managing service account setups, and monitoring loaner laptops during the reimaging process
  • Installing and configuring computers

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience with Windows operating systems, particularly in reimaging
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow for ticket management
  • Background in computer assembly and configuration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a helpdesk environment
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
