Position Overview

This role involves the proficient and safe operation of various types of dump trucks, including end dumps and belly dumps, both with and without pup trailers. The operator will be responsible for transporting a range of materials, including aggregates and asphalt, to various job sites, encompassing both residential and commercial locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate comprehensive operational knowledge and skills in handling end dumps and belly dumps, along with associated equipment.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials used.
  • Adhere to both verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess knowledge of various types and sizes of aggregates.
  • Exhibit proficiency in maneuvering and backing with a pup trailer.
  • Communicate effectively using the radio system.
  • Connect and disconnect pup trailers as necessary.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, along with one to two years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • A valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A with double/triple and air brake endorsements is mandatory.
  • A valid Medical Card in accordance with DOT standards is required.
Work Requirements
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An incident-free driving record is preferred.
  • Subject to drug, alcohol, and physical agility testing.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively using two-way radios.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.

Physical Requirements
