Position Overview

As a Warehouse Equipment Operator at ECS Venture LLC, you will play a crucial role in managing the movement of goods within a cold storage facility. Your primary responsibility will be to operate forklifts and various material handling machinery to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the cold storage area.
  • Efficiently load and unload delivery trucks, pallets, and containers.
  • Perform routine inspections on equipment to guarantee optimal performance and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the cold storage facility.
  • Assist in conducting inventory checks and managing stock rotation as necessary.
  • Provide support to fellow operators as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors to streamline workflow and prioritize tasks.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulations related to cold storage operations.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 3 months of experience operating a forklift.
  • Possess a valid forklift operator certification.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical capability to lift and handle heavy items (at least 40 lbs.) as required.
  • Comfortable working in cold or freezing conditions while equipped with personal protective gear.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail to ensure safety and prevent injuries.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
