Job Summary:
Living Opportunities is seeking a Support Specialist to provide support for individuals with disabilities, promoting independence, integration, and coordination of services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities, including skill acquisition and choice-making.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless coordination of services and effective communication with clients and families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community resources and service providers to enhance support options for clients.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework and/or experience working with the client population preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
