Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting patients and directing them while retrieving, organizing, and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). This position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients and direct them while retrieving, organizing, and inputting digital images and/or exam information into EMS.
  • Interact with various departments, office staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Utilize extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in the medical field or 1 year of medical and/or clerical experience.
  • Successful completion of a Providence Internship or medical terminology and physical anatomy knowledge obtained through work experience.
  • Basic medical terminology course completed within 6 months of hire.
  • College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or equivalent education/experience.
  • Electronic Medical Records System experience.
