As a Shift Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and attend to guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and visually inspecting tools and equipment.
- Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings, and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
Requirements:
- Display proficiency in one or more of the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and/or general building management.
- Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Display basic ability to repair or replace PVC copper pipe (including soldering).
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
