Position Summary: The Automotive Cleaning Specialist is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles in accordance with the standards set by Optima Dealer Services Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly wash and detail all vehicles, adhering to company standards and client specifications.
- The cleaning process encompasses exterior washing and drying, cleaning of interior and exterior windows, vacuuming interiors, wiping down dashboards and cup holders, and applying tire shine.
- Safely maneuver, park, and deliver vehicles to designated areas.
- Ensure all vehicles undergo a comprehensive washing process, including exterior wash, drying, window cleaning, interior vacuuming, dashboard and cup holder cleaning, and tire shine application.
- Conduct a final inspection of the vehicle to confirm cleanliness before completion of the task.
- All vehicles must meet Quality Control standards; if a vehicle does not meet cleanliness expectations, promptly notify the Car Wash Manager for re-cleaning.
- Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the dealership when possible.
- Handle cleaning products and towels with care.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing non-slip footwear, goggles, and gloves, and be mindful of potential hazards.
- Notify management upon completion of daily tasks and ensure all vehicles are cleaned by the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- High energy and enthusiasm for the role.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record, subject to approval by company insurance.
Work Environment:
This position typically requires a 40-hour work week, spread over five days, with occasional overtime and a rotational Saturday shift. Not all roles are full-time; schedules will be arranged by the supervising manager.
Physical demands may include lifting equipment weighing up to 25 pounds multiple times during a shift, as well as bending, kneeling, and reaching. Employees will utilize standard hand-held cleaning tools and power washing equipment.
