We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Federal Tax to join our team at S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global company that values diversity, inclusion, and employee growth.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and/or review aspects of federal and state income tax returns for the parent company, domestic entities, and the consolidated group.
- Research and gather relevant data, prepare workpapers/analysis, and utilize tax compliance software to prepare and file tax returns.
- Develop deep knowledge of income tax compliance software (Corptax) and manage the complete tax affairs of a portfolio of domestic subsidiaries and partnerships.
- Assist with non-income tax matters and function as a liaison between subsidiary personnel and the Associate Manager, Federal/Domestic Tax on sales/use, unclaimed property, and gross receipts tax matters.
- Manage tax depreciation compliance for the parent company and domestic subsidiaries.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, with an advanced degree (MST or JD) and/or certification as a Certified Public Accountant or military experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
- 5-7 years federal income tax experience, including familiarity with current tax law and pending legislation.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of the organization.
SC Johnson's total compensation packages are at or above industry levels. In addition to salary, total packages may include bonuses, long-term incentives, matching 401(k) contributions, and profit sharing based on company profitability, job level, and years of service.
