Job Description

Reveal Excavation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grading Foreman to join our team in the Missoula area. As a medium-sized company, we specialize in a variety of construction projects, including road construction, deep utility installation, foundation and building pad excavation for commercial site development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames.
  • Review plans and proposal specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage assigned projects that were successfully bid, maintaining documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed.
  • Coordinate daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality, ensuring safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractors' work, communicating with project engineers and project managers as needed.
  • Operate equipment as necessary to maintain maximum efficiency, teaching and educating subordinates to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors observed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years of operating experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand construction plans and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problem solve and communicate corrective actions quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as project management demands fluctuate.
  • At least 5+ years of grading experience and at least 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of grading, paving, curb & gutter construction, and specifications.
