About the Position

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Clinical Aesthetic Fellow. This one-year fellowship program offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced knowledge, skills, and clinical judgment in aesthetic plastic surgery.

As a fellow, you will have the chance to work closely with esteemed faculty members, including previous fellows of Dr. Bruce Connell, to gain hands-on experience in pre-operative planning, high-complexity cases, and postoperative care. You will also participate in weekly educational conferences, including Grand Rounds, invited Visiting Professor presentations, didactic sessions, anatomy labs, journal clubs, research clubs, and quality improvement conferences.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess an M.D. degree and American Board of Plastic Surgery board certification or eligibility. Additionally, they must be eligible for a California Medical License and obtain it prior to the start date, as well as a Texas Medical License.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop advanced knowledge and skills in aesthetic plastic surgery through hands-on training and participation in educational conferences.
  2. Assist in the development of comprehensive treatment plans for patients undergoing aesthetic procedures.
  3. Participate in the care of patients in the clinic and surgical settings.
  4. Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in aesthetic plastic surgery through research and publications.
What We Offer

The University of California, Irvine offers a competitive salary range of $79,000-$95,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will also receive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
