SoC Test Engineer

About the Role
As a SoC Test Engineer at Apple, you will be part of our Silicon Technologies group, responsible for designing and manufacturing next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors, system-on-chip (SoC). Your primary focus will be on ensuring Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle tasks that make them beloved by millions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document test plans for new devices.
- Design and debug test software and hardware.
- Debug new silicon.
- Bring quality and efficient test solutions for mass production.
- Coordinate test-related activities with internal and external groups.
- Evaluate new product testability and operability.
Requirements
- BS in a relevant field of study and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong programming skills for writing and debugging test programs and test-related hardware development.
- Proficiency in programming with scripting languages (e.g., PERL) and high-level languages (e.g., C/C++ or Visual Basic).
- Experience working on digital VLSI SoC.
- Expertise in semiconductor test methodology.
- Deep understanding of electronic engineering fundamentals, design for test, and manufacturing concepts.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of semiconductor product life cycles.
- Able to work with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, logic analyzer).
