**Job Summary**

At Mi Jack, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and hydraulic components to support our production schedules.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assemble sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
  • Perform on-line testing and inspection activities to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Clean and prepare units for next operation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Comply with all safety and hazardous material procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with all requirements of our Quality System in accordance with ISO9001.
  • Initiate Engineering Change Requests to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and/or to correct nonconformities.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform other job tasks as requested.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

  • May be required to operate forklifts and provide assistance to other departments as needed.
  • Required to identify opportunities for improvements and submit in accordance with our Continuous Improvement Program.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
  • Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.
  • Communicate consistently on all activities to appropriate individuals (internal & external).

**Requirements:**

  • High School graduate or equivalent, plus minimum 5 years as Mechanical or Hydraulic Assembler, or weld fabricator.
  • Experience performing mechanical, hydraulic assemblies.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic assemblies and testing.
  • Ability to recognize all colors in a normal spectrum.
  • Basic knowledge of SPC fundamentals.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable operating and documentation procedures and material flow.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

**Work Environment:**

This is a production classification and employees work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment, and machinery. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push, and pull. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. May lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
