Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, employing the nursing process in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures.   • Nursing Process:
  • Develops and/or contributes to individualized care plans that encompass assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ensures care plans reflect multidisciplinary collaboration, consultation, and education.
  • Confirms that care plans are informed by admission data, ongoing assessments, age-appropriate care, cultural considerations, and appropriate acuity.
  • Discusses care plans with patients and their families, ensuring timely completion.
  • Monitors patient progress according to the established plan.
  • Adjusts care plans as needed based on patient condition and evaluation of progress.
  • Ensures care aligns with established standards.
  • Facilitates the development and execution of discharge plans, addressing barriers and providing patient/family education.
  • Ensures patients understand discharge instructions, identifying barriers to outpatient management.
  • Prioritizes patient safety concerning medications and procedures, utilizing best practices to prevent falls, pressure ulcers, and infections.
  • Ensures effective pain management and patient comfort; addresses patient anxieties and concerns regarding their condition and treatment.
  • Communicates medication purposes, side effects, and administration instructions clearly to patients during their stay and at discharge.
  • Patient Care Experience:
  • Implements customer service standards as defined by the organization.
  • Responds promptly to patient requests and alarms.
  • Facilitates referrals and assists patients in accessing resources.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Ensures a clean, organized, and functional work environment.

  • Delivers an exceptional patient care experience by actively listening to the needs of patients and their families.
