Position Overview:

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks applications for a faculty role within the Division of Diagnostic Sciences. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in both teaching and research within a robust oral and maxillofacial pathology curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a skilled educator and clinician, capable of contributing to both didactic and clinical instruction, as well as research initiatives. Mentorship of graduate students in their research endeavors is also a key component of this role.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or an equivalent degree, along with advanced education in oral and maxillofacial pathology accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Candidates should hold diplomate status from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in scholarly activities and a background in teaching and mentoring at both undergraduate and graduate levels are highly desirable.
