Job Title: Adjunct Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health policy and management, with experience in teaching and mentoring students.

Job Summary

We are seeking applicants for adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching courses in our academic programs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health policy and management, with experience in teaching and mentoring students. We seek adjunct faculty members who are interested in teaching in both our residential (on-campus) and executive (online) programs in the following areas: accounting, capstone/capstone preparation, finance, global health, health law, health policy, human resources, leadership, marketing, pedagogy, program planning and evaluation, public health, public health informatics, quality of care, research methods, strategy, statistics, and US health care system.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in health policy and management
  • Mentor students in research and academic projects
  • Develop and implement curriculum in health policy and management
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in health policy and management, business, public health, public policy, law, public administration, government, social work, nursing, medicine, or a related field
  • Experience in health policy and/or management in diverse settings
  • Experience teaching students with varying levels of academic preparation and experience
  • Demonstrated interest in the use of teaching methods that emphasize and encourage active student engagement and interaction
