Job Description

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager is a key member of the restaurant management team, responsible for supporting the Assistant General Manager and General Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This role involves directing employees, ensuring work is completed efficiently, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Direct and supervise Shift Leaders and Team Members to ensure they are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations.
- Conduct regular Ops Walks and Q&A checks to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage shift schedules, monitor attendance, and ensure employees are assigned duties based on their skills and role.
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment, including daily cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen utensils and high-touch areas.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally and resolve issues according to restaurant policy.
- Provide direction, supervision, and feedback to Shift Leaders and Team Members to maintain high productivity and team morale.
- Communicate work performance to the restaurant management team and address performance issues as needed.
- Train, schedule, and manage employees in daily tasks, including balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
- Certified in all stations following the DHC Training Program.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers and management.

Transportation & Accessibility

- Must have reliable transportation to work, a driver's license, and proof of insurance.
- Must have a telephone or other reliable method of communicating with supervisor and co-workers.

Skills & Abilities

- Ability to delegate tasks and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Strong people and guest service skills.
- Ability to look at restaurant operations from a guest's perspective.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift 50-75 pounds comfortably.
