Key Responsibilities:
As an Inventory Cycle Counter, your primary duty will be to conduct physical inventory counts and explore methods to enhance efficiency within inventory management processes. You will be tasked with counting materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies to maintain accurate inventory records for the warehouse. A successful candidate will significantly contribute to ensuring quality assurance in warehouse operations.
Specific Duties Include:
- Conducting counts of materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies; generating comprehensive inventory records.
- Reconciling physical inventories with office records and calculating figures from documentation.
- Validating clerical calculations against physical stock counts and investigating any discrepancies.
- Overseeing inventory rotations and providing recommendations as necessary.
- Compiling reports such as inventory balances, weekly cycle counts, and production summaries.
- Preparing lists of depleted items and suggesting assessments of defective or unusable stock.
- Reviewing and analyzing daily reports as directed by the Auditor.
- Maintaining shrinkage levels at or below company standards.
- Understanding the broader business and departmental impacts on inventory integrity.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Starting pay at $20.50/hour, with potential increases based on experience.
- Work schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
- Minimum of 1 year of inventory experience in a warehouse setting.
- Strong commitment to quality customer service with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to convey information accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to established procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate computer skills.
- Capability to perform inventory tasks; strong math skills for using adding machines.
- Physical ability to regularly lift and carry up to 30 lbs, frequently up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 65 lbs.
- Competence in operating a scissor lift with appropriate safety equipment.
- Must be able to pass forklift certification and operate other equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with Inventory Management Software such as DCMS is preferred.
- Ability to work in standard warehouse temperatures, including Freezer/Cooler environments.
- Willingness to work at heights using a scissor lift with necessary PPE.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as required is advantageous.
