Job Summary

Chesterfield County Human Resource Management is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our wastewater laboratory, you will be responsible for performing complex chemical analyses to meet operational needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct chemical analyses of wastewater samples using various laboratory instruments and techniques.
  • Prepare reagents and standard solutions as required.
  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and glassware to ensure accuracy and quality of results.
  • Record and report analytical results in a database, ensuring timely and accurate communication of data.
  • Maintain responsibility for the quality and accuracy of all analytical work, data, and test results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience performing laboratory analysis, preferably in a wastewater laboratory.
  • Extensive knowledge of chemistry and microbiology principles applicable to wastewater laboratory duties.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Current valid driver's license and good driving record.
