General Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, perform preventative and general upkeep of water tanks, tank grounds, and booster pump stations, collect water samples, and add chlorine as directed.
Essential Job Functions
- Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
- Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties, paint or repair parts of building structures.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
- Under direct supervision, perform preventative and general upkeep of water tanks, tank grounds, and booster pump stations, collect water samples, and add chlorine as directed.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or material, handle and move objects.
- Repair and maintain medical equipment.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal relationships, communicate with supervisors and peers.
- Field work, identify parts, gather part numbers and serial numbers to relay information to Business Analyst/Project Mgr to correct and/or add into SAP.
- Monitor Station Maintenance Worker work schedule of time entry.
- Maintain general grounds keeping and mechanical maintenance of booster pumping stations and tank lots.
- Operate mower, power edging equipment, fertilizing, and weed control equipment, etc.
- Paint booster pump stations and complete restoration of tanks when needed.
- Log chart rounds to take readings, change charts, and inspect tanks and booster pumping stations to ensure they are operating effectively.
- Chlorinate by adding chlorine in the top of the tank and clean the water storage as needed. Climb all storage tanks to inspect hatches and filters.
- Maintain main office grounds, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from walkways and parking lots.
- Maintain sampling lines on tanks; take water samples from booster pumping stations and tanks as needed using EnviroLab standard procedures.
- Read meters when directed.
- Maintain right-of-way sites to ensure lines are clear and in good repair.
- Assist the crew leader and other workers with direction of maintenance personnel in the field.
- On call.
- Perform all work safely in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. Comply with all safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications
Valid Driver's License required. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) class A preferred.
Experience
Six (6) months of maintenance or related experience required. Experience in general grounds keeping, preventative, and mechanical maintenance. Must have a strong mechanical background; must understand and apply techniques of general grounds keeping, equipment operation, and chemicals; must be able to persevere under difficult situations; ability to perform repetitive and routine tasks; must be able to work well with others and also work without supervision. Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Work Environment
Loud noise; work indoors and outdoors under varying conditions, subject to hazards of high voltage of electricity, heights (up to 175 feet), confined spaces, operating equipment, water treatment chemicals, pests, pesticides, and lawn care chemicals.
