Job Summary
East African Healing Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ABA Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will work closely with our clients and their families to provide high-quality, evidence-based ABA therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote skill acquisition and behavior reduction in children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy sessions in various settings, including homes, schools, and community-based environments.
- Collect and analyze data to inform treatment decisions and ensure progress towards established goals.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support to clients and their families.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in ABA therapy.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, education, or social work.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 48 credit hours towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with behavior problems.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
Work Environment
East African Healing Services provides ABA therapy services in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area, serving clients in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties.
