- Clinical Support Duties:
- Collect and analyze data for clinic metrics, maintaining spreadsheets for tracking.
- Monitor physician schedules to ensure optimal clinic time and manage time off.
- Order necessary supplies for the clinic.
- Provide backup support to front office and back office staff as needed.
- Medical Assistant Duties:
- Prepare patient charts accurately and timely.
- Respond to patient inquiries promptly.
- Handle communications with insurance companies and other medical facilities while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Ensure all patient forms are completed accurately.
- Confirm patient appointments in a timely manner.
- Process billing information accurately.
- Manage phone communications and return calls as necessary.
- Obtain medical histories and assist physicians during examinations.
- Facilitate patient referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Ensure accurate data entry in the patient database.
- Assist with the release of medical records.
- Support the scheduling of new patients.
- Participate in internal billing audits as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
