Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Donor Recruitment Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our Blood Bank Donor Services team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain blood donors, ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet blood donation goals
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, patients, and hospital staff
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to promote blood donation and increase donor engagement
  • Conduct educational presentations and activities to promote blood donation and blood safety
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of donor recruitment efforts and blood donation activity
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as phlebotomy, nursing, or customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between facilities
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent travel between facilities and may involve working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
