Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Deployment and Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Deployment and Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to support the deployment and installation of critical systems for the Sentinel program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Deployment and Manufacturing Engineering team in support of the Sentinel program.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans, Bills of Material, and work instructions to ensure compliance with Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Statement of Work (SOW) requirements.
  • Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) and establish Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) to ensure readiness for production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop compliant manufacturing plans and conduct MRAs.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to resolve complex problems and ensure compliance with EMD SOW requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to engineers on new and existing processes.
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science with 14 years of experience; or Master's with 12 years of experience; or PhD with 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience training operators/engineers on a new or improved process.
  • Experience with process control documentation.
  • Able to give guidance, tasks, and direction to other engineers in support of program execution and leadership vision.
  • Capable of working with minimal direction, independently determines and develops technical objectives of assignments, and presents work upon completion for high-level review.
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages, and other electronic databases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tooling, work instructions, and visual aids.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, etc.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years.
  • Experience performing Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and establishing Manufacturing Readiness Levels per DoD customer requirements.
  • Experience working design into production and deploying engineering solutions to the field.
  • Previous experience on production for military programs.
  • Previous experience on EMD projects.
  • Experience with Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).
  • Experience with Siemens NX tools and Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Knowledge of AS6500 requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise working in a Model Based Manufacturing digital environment.
  • Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to advanced problems which require ingenuity and innovation.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
