Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing high-level accounting activities, including overseeing financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing insightful analysis to support financial decision-making and ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine General Ledger account reconciliations as part of monthly closing procedures
  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements and payments
  • Process accounts payable invoices for client and firm expenses
  • Respond to vendor and staff inquiries concerning invoices
  • Manage 1099 reporting and processing, including annual e-filing
  • Assist in preparing client settlement distributions
  • Respond to tax notices
  • Assist in preparation of schedules to support financial audits
  • Assist with monthly bank reconcilements
  • Assist with year-end processes
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required
  • At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience maintaining books, preferably in a law firm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential
  • Aderant experience is highly preferred
  • A strong work ethic, organizational skills, and self-motivation are necessary
  • Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, data analysis, research, and resolution skills are required
  • Ability to work independently and within teams in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid medical, dental, vision, and LTD insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and profit sharing.
