Your Role: Clinical Education Program Specialist
  • Medical Assistant
    Under the guidance of the Clinical Education Program Specialist and/or the Executive Director of Clinical Strategic Initiatives, the Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting the objectives and initiatives of the Clinical Education team.
This position involves assisting with clinical orientation, overseeing clinical competencies and assessments, facilitating the Fast Track Medical Assistant program, and collaborating with the AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) – Central Florida North Division (CFDN) Student Program to coordinate student clinical rotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging instruction for clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.
  • Develop and implement training materials, including competency checklists for clinical skills and ongoing clinical courses.
  • Act as a mentor and educational resource for staff, focusing on training new employees and those needing additional support, while providing constructive feedback to leadership.
  • Conduct training sessions for students enrolled in clinical courses, including the Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder programs.
  • Support the onboarding process for student externs, assisting with application procedures, orientation requirements, and ensuring all documentation is complete prior to student rotations.
  • Participate in Environment of Care Surveys, ensuring compliance with best practices and promoting staff education initiatives.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, classes, and events for new hire orientations and educational activities.
  • Administer certification examinations.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for travel within the CFD North region.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience with completion of externship or 6 months of relevant experience within an AdventHealth facility.
  • Current certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Ability to present effectively to large groups.
  • Capability to provide one-on-one training and constructive feedback.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; ability to learn new technologies and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as a clinical preceptor or trainer in a designated role or field.
  • Experience in supervising staff.
  • Experience in teaching in both formal and informal settings.
