Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled National Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team at IMA Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing the strategic direction of our employee benefits division, leading long- and short-term strategic consultation and planning efforts for client benefit programs, and ensuring programs and plan design are in alignment with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the strategic direction of our employee benefits division, including leading long- and short-term strategic consultation and planning efforts for client benefit programs.
  • Ensure programs and plan design are in alignment with all applicable regulatory requirements, including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and vendors to support and lead negotiation and advocacy during client coverage placement and renewal process.
  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts and practice leaders to bring current and emerging markets and products to the table that are aligned with clients' stated goals.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Account Managers and Analysts, and participate in the hiring process for direct reports and additional department hires as needed.
  • Participate in finalist and/or prospect meetings as determined by National Accounts Director and production staff.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience as a Lead Consultant, Analyst, Account Manager, or similar role in the employee benefits brokerage industry.
  • 1-4 years of mid-market, self-funded Account Executive experience.
  • Previous experience working with clients in the Union/Public Labor sector is strongly desired.
  • Attain and maintain applicable state Life and Health License in accordance with IMA standards.
  • Willing and able to travel locally within Colorado.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, including ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, insurance products, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional client service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for acquiring new knowledge and skills, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices.
