Job Title: 1st Grade Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 1st Grade Teacher to join our team at DREAM Charter Schools. As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social-emotional growth for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a Common Core-aligned curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Build meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive school culture.
  • Collaborate with grade team, leadership team, and student support team to analyze data and drive instruction.
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing targeted support to ensure academic success.
  • Communicate effectively with families and colleagues to ensure a seamless and supportive learning experience.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • New York State certification in subject area preferred.
  • At least two years of teaching experience with a record of improving student achievement preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • A commitment to working with diverse populations of families and students.

Compensation:
  • The salary range for incoming teachers with a Master's degree is $76,000 to $93,000 per year.
  • The salary range for incoming teachers with a Bachelor's degree is $67,000 to $87,000 per year.
