We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Desert Regional Medical Center. As a skilled nursing facility extended care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume principal responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of each assigned patient.
  • Initiate teaching and educate patients and families/or significant others to attain optimal health.
  • Access to all patient health information for treatment purposes only.

Department Specific Responsibilities:

  • Obtain information and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development.
  • Understand the range of treatment needed as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Consistently demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of the patients served on the assigned unit.

Work Environment:

  • Shift: Nights
  • Hours: Flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department
