The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for conducting budget assessments, labor planning, and facilitating coordination among all departments and personnel. This role serves as a mediator for internal challenges and conflicting priorities among cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering new or existing products to clients. The Senior Program Manager will oversee project completion from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with revenue and cost expectations. Additionally, the role involves managing customer relationships to guarantee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all necessary tasks from order entry to material procurement, scheduling builds, monitoring testing, and ensuring quality compliance from contract to delivery.
- Manage the execution of specific customer contract line items related to computer-based systems and/or government contracts.
- Plan, direct, control, and coordinate financial and engineering activities for projects, ensuring both financial and technical objectives are met.
- Monitor projects from initiation through delivery, collaborating with all internal departments on technical and scheduling matters.
- Organize interdepartmental activities to ensure project completion within budget and time constraints.
- Evaluate project status and risks, generate recovery plans, and meet customer expectations and business objectives.
- Support the development of new business proposals.
- Ensure departmental goals are achieved within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Engage with subordinates and functional peer groups to exchange or present information effectively.
- Determine work schedules, manage overtime (if applicable), and allocate resources and equipment efficiently. Resolve issues as they arise.
- Explore new methods to enhance production efficiency. Develop, plan, and implement procedures while recommending changes to policies as necessary.
- Coordinate, develop, and implement standard operating procedures for the functional area.
- Ensure adherence to prescribed procedures to maintain first-pass quality that meets or exceeds planned goals.
- Consult with department supervisors or leads to assess the status of assigned tasks within projects.
- Prepare project status reports and summaries for stakeholders.
- Identify obstacles to achieving goals and propose solutions or seek assistance when needed.
- Prepare and present budgetary recommendations to management.
- Regularly interact with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups at various management levels, requiring the ability to gain cooperation and conduct presentations of technical information.
- Establish operational objectives and assignments for subordinate managers, with objectives reviewed by senior management to evaluate operational success.
- Engage with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning multiple functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
- May be required to influence others' thinking or gain acceptance in sensitive situations.
- Availability for evenings and weekends may be necessary to meet goals and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 15 years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in project management. PMP certification is advantageous.
- Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting various business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations. Strong writing skills for reports and correspondence, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups.
- Adept at solving practical problems and navigating a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Capable of interpreting diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- To excel in this role, an individual should possess a general knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and particularly MS Project) and familiarity with ERP/MRP software.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
Salary Range: $149,000 - $199,980.00

The anticipated salary range for this position is an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is determined based on various factors, including location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and position type.
