Job Title: Technical Program Management Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Management Lead to join our Production Infrastructure Engineering (PIE) team at LinkedIn. As a Technical Program Management Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, build, and manage the PIE TPM team, including hiring, developing, mentoring, and coaching Technical Program Managers.
  • Manage TPM assignment and allocation, ensuring portfolio and project health through appropriate resource allocation, prioritization, and focus.
  • Develop strategic project roadmaps and resource plans in partnership with the leadership team, partnering with technical leadership on project execution and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Evaluate, champion, and drive adoption of the right project management methodologies throughout the organization.
  • Help teams be more efficient and ensure processes scale appropriately with the company.
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, expertise, innovation, and learning.
  • Lead efforts to resolve project conflicts and establish appropriate resolution paths.
  • Manage dependencies between multiple projects and have the ability to understand the big picture across engineering.
  • Mentor individuals in best practices for project planning and execution.
  • Develop strong partnerships with technology and business leaders.
  • Assess and mitigate risk exposure.
Requirements:
  • B.S in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of people management experience managing technical and/or technical program management teams.
  • 5+ years of full-time program management experience within an Engineering or Infrastructure organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Practical and advanced understanding of managing the lifecycle of large-scale programs and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, skilled at cross-functional and cross-organizational communication and attention to detail.
  • Experience with software engineering practices and familiarity with coding techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Ability to traverse both vertically and horizontally in a large organization.
  • Successfully traverse tactical and strategic objectives.

The pay range for this role is $134,000 to $221,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
