We are seeking a skilled Drafter Specialist to join our team at Metromont Corporation, a leading provider of precast concrete solutions.

With six manufacturing facilities across the eastern seaboard, we offer a wide range of products and services to support the full construction needs of our customers.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Drafter to contribute to the success of our projects. As a Senior Project Drafter, you will be responsible for designing and preparing electronic (CAD) erection drawings, shop tickets, and material requisitions from contract drawings and engineering calculations. You will also work closely with engineers and project managers to resolve questions and provide technical guidance to junior drafters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare electronic (CAD) working plans from data

  • Prepare plans, elevations, sections, and material requirements from sketches, specifications, contract drawings and responses to requests for information provided by architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and Metromont's internal project management team
  • Consult with engineers and project managers as needed to resolve questions
  • Revise computer-aided designs and documents to comply with comments and changes to project scope
  • Provide technical guidance to the Project Drafter regarding coordination of details between shop tickets and erection drawings

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Design, Architecture, or related field with coursework in computer-aided design (CAD)

  • Minimum two (2) years drafting experience
  • Knowledge of Revit a Plus
  • Able to efficiently read blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to create detailed electronic (CAD) working plans from data

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $85,000, depending on experience. This includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth and development.
