Job Title: Senior Software Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Systems Engineer to join our team at Quantum Research International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating software systems for our national defense and federal civilian and industry customers.

Job Summary:

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in software systems engineering, with a focus on tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, and tactical sensor systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in system engineering, with experience in requirements decomposition, MBSE tools and languages, and Agile workflow.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop system level features that describe MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria necessary to provide guidance for software implementation.
  • Lead reviews and adjudicate comments made against the features.
  • Work with contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government civilians, and system operators to ensure successful system integration.
Requirements:
  • US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL area.
  • Candidate should have years of system engineering experience.
  • Candidate must have experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7 years of progressively complex experience.
  • Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
  • System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
