About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Safety Software Engineer to join our team at Bastion Technologies. As a key member of our safety engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the development and integration of safety-critical components for Army Munitions Power Control Modules and other complex hardware and software systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain System and Software Safety Program Plans
  • Conduct Functional Hazard Analyses, Requirements Hazard Analyses, Subsystem and Software Hazard Analyses, and Fault Tree Analyses
  • Track Software Safety Compliance Matrix and provide Safety Engineering Status Briefing Material for Program Milestone Reviews, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Safety Review Boards
  • Other duties as assigned, including serving as the Point of Contact (POC) during reviews
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field
  • 5+ years of recent and related experience, with a strong background in the identification and documentation of system and component level design safety risks, hazard controls, and acceptance/approval of verification/validation results
  • Experience across the program development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, test, and sustainment)
  • Must possess a Secret level security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DOD Programs and Projects
  • Prior experience in the use of software analytical and test tools
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
