About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program-Level Software System Engineer to join our team at Intrepid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in software system engineering for our federal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and maintain the team backlog and guide the systems engineering team.
  • Support the team in the development of feature documentation, MEI and CSCI behavior models, and acceptance criteria to guide software implementation.
  • Reporting on status, risks, blockers, and team capacity to program management.
  • Utilize the MBSE approach to document features using an Agile workflow.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
  • Must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
  • 10 or more years of system engineering experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
  • A record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
  • Must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure that software is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.
Desirable Qualifications
  • System engineering experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
  • Hands-on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF is desired.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe Agile experience are a plus.
