Job Summary:

As a Medical Care Specialist at Amergis, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our employees. Your primary responsibility will be to administer first aid to injured or ill employees, while also proactively identifying potential safety issues and implementing measures to prevent them.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to outside medical providers as needed.
Maintain accurate records of care given to employees.
Ensure first-aid kits are stocked and equipment is clean and functional.
Train employee volunteers in first aid, CPR, AED, and blood-borne pathogen training.
Provide daily end-of-shift reports to the Safety and Leadership team.
Participate in weekly Site Case Management Review meetings with HR, Risk Management, and Safety.

Requirements:

1+ years of experience as a full-time EMT or Paramedic responding to emergency calls.
Current and valid EMT or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health for the state you are practicing in.
Current BLS card and ACLS/PALS certification (per contract requirement).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
Must meet all of Amergis' pre-employment screening requirements.
