Dublin School, a prestigious 9-12 co-ed college preparatory boarding school, seeks a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its community. As a member of the Business Office, this individual will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of the school and driving strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and Operations to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the school's mission.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and internal control systems.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and non-profit accounting regulations.
  • Assist with the annual financial audit and preparation of Form 990.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Supervise and train accounting staff, ensuring effective management of financial functions.
  • Stay up-to-date on new regulations and industry developments, applying knowledge to improve financial operations and decision-making.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related area of study.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software systems and MS Office.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, with a focus on driving business growth.
  • Experience in payroll management and employee benefits, including 403B and Self-Funded Insurance plans.
  • Ability to supervise, manage, and delegate multiple functions and activities.
