Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a tool to assess the capacity of healthcare providers to treat newcomers, utilizing research of comparable approaches, consultation with the Rhode Island Department of Health, and interviews with expert providers.
  • Research and select a digital database platform to collect data and information from healthcare providers and analyze that data.
  • Use the tool to assess as many healthcare providers as possible through July 2025.
  • Meet regularly with Department of Human Services staff to report progress and plan action steps.
  • Draft a document identifying strengths and gaps in the healthcare landscape in Rhode Island.

Requirements

  • Graduate-level studies in a community healthcare field.
  • Knowledge of healthcare needs of culturally diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of the needs of migrating populations.
  • Research experience.
  • Experience using research databases.
  • Ability to work with Excel and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Work Environment

This is a remote position, requiring the ability to meet in person with Department of Human Services staff and other stakeholders as needed.
