Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The Landscape Foreman will demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities and maintain a positive demeanor while working with both team members and clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing landscape construction projects involving patios, retaining walls, seat walls, columns, stairs, walkways, and lighting.
  • Executing softscape installations with various materials including rocks and plants.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Operating landscape machinery and providing training to team members.
  • Interpreting design plans and applying knowledge of landscape construction techniques.
  • Managing a small crew (2-4 members) by organizing tasks and ensuring efficient workflow.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Leadership capabilities to organize and delegate tasks to team members.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A willingness to assist with any tasks assigned to team members.
  • A general understanding of labor and material costs relevant to project bidding.
  • A positive attitude that contributes to a healthy company culture.
  • Consistent professionalism and sound judgment.
  • The ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • The physical capability to lift or move items weighing up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
