Experienced Machinist for Precision Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced machinist to join our team at Collins Machine Works. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to produce high-quality components with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Set up, adjust, and operate various machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to follow instructions accurately
- Machine parts out of metal using manual machines
- Select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines safely
- Recognize and deploy inserts, fixtures, and tooling properly
- Determine the proper tools required to perform tasks
- Operate and utilize lifting aids as necessary to perform work
- Use gauges and precision measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5-10 years of related experience preferred
- Familiarity with manually controlled machines and benchwork in fabrication, maintenance, repair, and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and blueprints
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
