About the Role

Patreon is seeking a Senior Operations Manager, Creative Projects to join our team. As a key member of our creative operations team, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of creative thinkers and makers who operate at the intersection of creativity, culture, fandom, and technology.

You will be at the center of all creative marketing projects, from scalable marketing templates to large-scale creator-centric campaigns. You will be hands-on, facilitating discussions, enhancing cross-organization communication, and establishing unified systems to ensure strategic thinking and successful execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the vision for Creative Marketing Operations, developing its function, leadership, and team/budget management to establish operational excellence standards.
  • Establishing end-to-end project workflows across a range of project types and educating the broader organization to aid adoption of the process.
  • Building a creative resourcing pipeline to support a wide array of project types.
  • Identifying and overseeing the implementation of new tools, templates, meeting forums, and training sessions required to maintain operational excellence standards.
  • Developing creative asset requests and creation process, delivering process, and excellent resources to support requests on high-priority marketing needs.
  • Centralizing and tracking all creator features across our surfaces, establishing a live repository of placements for cross-team visibility and alignment.
  • Overseeing workload analysis, partnering with team leads on project prioritization and sourcing of additional resources (freelancers, agency partners).
  • Managing the brand request process, establishing a procedure and criteria framework to determine appropriate access of intellectual property for third-party institutions.
  • Facilitating ongoing connections with marketing leaders across the company to help incite visibility and collaboration.
  • Gathering and implementing best practices to aid campaign development, sharing insights across teams.

Team specifics support:

  • Video Operations
    • Manage contracts for creators, contractors, and vendors.
    • Track invoices, oversee projects, OKR/metrics, expenses, and budget maintenance.
    • Coordinate guest travel, book locations, and hire crew contractors and equipment.
    • Ensure all necessary insurance and COI, manage releases, and send call sheets.
    • Gather and collate analytics.
  • Creator Marketing Operations
    • Create strategic alignment across all projects involving creators.
    • Work closely with XFN creator teams (CAP, Top Creators, Acquisition) to find synergy in workstreams.
  • Social Operations
    • Manage contracts and invoicing for social projects.
    • Ensure alignment and visibility on creators we are working with across projects.
    • Support with keeping our running maker/creator marketing list up to date.
    • Assist with creator communications and project management, ensuring timely responses and all details are attended to during project rounds.
  • Events Operations
    • Assist in project management, tracking, and internal updates.
    • Standardize reporting and updating across all teams supported.
    • Initiate the contracting process for talent, vendors, and venues.
    • Compile initial risk assessment reports using internal templates.
    • Development and maintain an internal tool to track all marketing touchpoints with creators across various channels including but not limited to Video, Events & Experiences, Social Media, Creator Marketing, Communications, and Internal Events.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, production, design/creative operations, or project management either in-house at a brand or with a creative agency.
  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing people, leading teams, and developing talent.
  • Experience driving collaboration and communication within a complex group and cross-functionally within a matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with contracting processes and vendor management.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining tracking tools for multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
