Job Summary

Global InfoTek, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients, including on-premise, hybrid, and commercial cloud management.
  • Cloud Security: Ensure the security and integrity of cloud infrastructure, including the implementation of security best practices and the use of modern security tools.
  • Cloud Management: Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, including the use of infrastructure as code implementations and the provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior developers and engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our cloud infrastructure projects.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including internal and external clients, to ensure the successful delivery of cloud infrastructure projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three-plus (3+) years of experience developing production software leveraging modern languages, including Java, Python, Go, NodeJS, etc.
  • Containerization: At least one year of experience developing containerization utilizing tools such as Docker.
  • Kubernetes: Exceptional understanding and experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters across hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
  • Agile Development: Three-plus (3+) years of experience with agile and lean software development philosophies.
  • Database Management: One-plus (1+) years of experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, etc.
  • Version Control: Two-plus (2+) years of demonstrated experience with modern version control systems, including Git, Subversion, Mercurial, etc.
  • Certification: Within 90 days, CompTIA Security+ CE or other DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
  • Cloud Experience: Five-plus (5+) years of demonstrated experience working as a software engineer leveraging large scale cloud infrastructure as their primary application platform.
  • Security Best Practices: Demonstrated deep understanding of modern security best practices for cloud infrastructure and networks.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Three-plus (3+) years of demonstrated experience building declarative infrastructure using modern Infrastructure as Code techniques.
  • Scripting: Two-plus (2+) experience in scripting, including PowerShell, JSON, and Python, with one (1+) or more examples of successfully transforming large-scale software, data center, and/or on-premise infrastructure programs to a containerized cloud-native architecture.
