Position Summary

The Senior Plan Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of retirement plans, including the creation and execution of new administrative procedures. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual with substantial industry expertise, capable of independently managing all responsibilities with excellence. This role serves as the primary liaison for clients, with the flexibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Formulating and executing plan administration procedures
  • Conducting eligibility assessments
  • Calculating contributions
  • Executing compliance evaluations
  • Preparing Form 5500 submissions
  • Overseeing a client portfolio of 50-75 accounts
  • Facilitating client communications regarding plan management
  • Maintaining strong client relationships through timely responses to inquiries
  • Carrying out additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in retirement plan administration
  • Preferred: Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of benefit plans and their operations
  • Experience in plan design is advantageous
  • Expertise in drafting plan documents is highly desirable
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, Word
