The individual in this role will ensure precise tracking of materials at specified locations and will be tasked with the movement of inventory to and from receiving areas, expediting processes as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of material shipping and receiving operations.
- Oversee the receipt and processing of materials to their designated utilization points.
- Administer stockroom inventory using a first-in, first-out approach.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure inventory precision and meet established inventory goals.
- Adhere to all procedures related to MRP/ERP systems.
- Encourage and support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices for materials.
- Maintain the integrity of data within inventory management systems.
- Execute all inventory adjustments and work towards minimizing discrepancies.
- Investigate material discrepancies and identify root causes of variances.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in operating a forklift.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Capable of standing for extended periods.
- Able to reach and bend consistently.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
- Experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking production environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Proven track record of satisfactory performance, attendance, and teamwork.
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and address issues logically within company guidelines.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a medical card is advantageous.
