Job Summary

HEICO Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Aircraft Technology, Inc. (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continued airworthiness of civil aviation articles and military and industrial parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft components and parts to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret technical data, including Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct complex and critical inspection procedures, including visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspections.
  • Manage and review work orders, monitoring for proper sign-offs and ensuring that all inspections are completed in a timely manner.
  • Sample and test incoming components and raw materials, tracking results and ensuring that all materials meet company standards.
  • Apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials based on analytical data.
  • Produce inspection reports as required and minimize downtime by reducing production rework and recalls.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with other team members to achieve quality and productivity goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.
  • At least five years of relevant experience within FAA Part 145 repair stations, with at least four years in an inspector capacity.
  • At least two years of experience in the capacity of inspector for engine components.
  • At least two years of experience in dimensional inspection.
  • Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Language/Communication Skills: English: ability to read and interpret documents such as reports and correspondence. Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to use basic mathematics.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must work well and communicate with others.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
