Job Summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Inspector/Engineering Technician to join our team in Norcross, GA. As a key member of our Construction Materials Testing group, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of construction materials on various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Testing: Conduct field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/grout to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Blueprint Review: Review blueprints to prepare for field observations on construction sites and ensure that all necessary testing is conducted.
  • Documentation: Document field activities, observations, and testing results on construction projects, and verify conformance with project plans and specifications.
  • Equipment Calibration: Calibrate field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards to ensure accurate testing results.
  • Communication: Communicate testing results with Construction Services and Geotechnical Project Management staff, general contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Density Testing: Conduct density testing and asphalt pavement testing in both the field and laboratory for airports.
  • ACI Certification: Possess ACI certification and/or ICC certification in Soils, Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, etc.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs. (field/laboratory samples and equipment) and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel out-of-town for short duration assignments within the state of Georgia working on smaller airports.
